A load of bull

Fiddle and fiddle some more and you lose the vitality of a painting.
The background is an improvement on the dingy, muddy green I previously had.
What to do next apart from define the features.
I want to put a bright red tag on the bulls ear.

Life Class at reading Museum

It was a lovely day in an air-conditioned gallery full of fine sculptures and a great model, who was cajoled into interesting poses alongside similarly posed sculptured models.
I didn't get on with charcoal as usual, tried some conte but it wouldn't blend so I finally had a go with watercolour to achieve some form  in my sketches.

This was a late pose when we had loosened up.
the model is leaning on a poster of a sculpture, whose pose she had held for 20 minutes or so early on in the class - very hard work.
Hands are still too small.

I missed out all the works round about.
Hopeless.
